Today, I am very happy to share a special announcement that I have been rocking out and teaching beginner guitar and ukulele - in addition to private and group piano lessons, voice lessons, and choir - to public school kids and teens, both privately and in groups, over the past school year.
My experience doing this work was so powerful and enriching that it has inspired me to offer new one-day guitar, ukulele, and vocal workshops to my existing private students at Marcheselli Music Studio this summer.
It is a little-publicized fact that, as a result of my own guitar playing, I have been asked repeatedly over the years to teach guitar to students of all ages, and I have been glad to oblige whenever possible.
Nevertheless, teaching beginner music classes to elementary school-aged children in a public school setting has given me invaluable experience that has helped pave the way toward creating mini-instructional programs for other instruments for my own private students.
