About
Hello and welcome! I’m Isabel Marcheselli, NCTM, a musician and nationally certified piano teacher accredited by Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) with over a dozen years of private piano teaching experience. With the loving support of my husband, Gino Marcheselli, and others, I founded my own piano studio, Marcheselli Music Studio, which has been serving piano students in Westfield and beyond for over a decade. Our studio serves students in the beginner-early intermediate playing range, with some continuing on to more advanced music. You can read more about me by clicking here.
Since I first started teaching private piano lessons years ago at a recreational center before I opened my own studio, it has been and continues to be my pleasure to introduce students to the fun and rewarding experiences to be had learning how to play all kinds of music – such as classical, pop, rock, Christian, and jazz music – at the piano.
At my studio, I offer live and online lessons to traditional and non-traditional, recreational students of all ages and a safe and upbeat place where they can focus on developing their inner musicality at the piano. Students typically start out with me as absolute beginners and continue their studies with me for years as they enter the intermediate repertoire and explore piano literature in greater depth.
As a small studio, Marcheselli Music Studio affords students the opportunity to receive ample personal attention throughout their piano instruction, and I am happy to foster the integral artistic development of my students in every way possible.
An everyday piano lesson with me at my studio can include fun educational games and activities, improvisational exercises, music theory, and, of course, plenty of music to enjoy practicing at home! I have a repertoire-rich approach to teaching and love to nurture my students' singing, composing, and arranging abilities as they grow at the piano.
Over the course of their music studies with me, students develop a lifelong, freeing relationship of joy, self-expression, and musical discovery on this beautiful and powerful instrument, the piano.
Just some of my core values...
- There is artistry to develop in everyone
- Piano accomplishments are all about the journey of musical discovery, expression and patient craftsmanship as much as the rewards
- There is much fun, personal growth, and insight to be had in the journey of a piano student
- In a world of restless din, a musical relationship with an instrument like the piano can be very grounding and help players listen to and connect to a deeper part of themselves and enhance the meaning of their lives. It can also offer players the opportunity to find new ways of communicating with others and connecting to beauty, healing, and, ultimately, the joys and mysteries of life.
