Something about the piano can attract a player during any time of the year.
In the springtime, it's great to play the piano indoors during rainy days or to put up flowers by your piano or just to open the window extra wide while you play and practice pieces. Let the birds sing over your playing and, sometimes, in response to your playing! Do a spring cleaning of your piano repertoire and appreciate everything you've ever learned to play.
In the fall, it's good to close the windows a bit and stay close to the piano practicing holiday pieces and growing your holiday repertoire for future holidays as well. Maybe try duets with other musical friends who can sing or play piano or another instrument.
In the winter, a piano is a friend to a player in a warm, heated room with lots of other music to play through and to finally get to after the holidays settle down.
In the summer, turn on the fan or an air conditioner and stay close to the piano, especially when you want a break from your devices and when the heat is unbearable to be outside. Pull out a wild card piece that you've been meaning to get to and take your sweet time with it, or play for guests during get-togethers. It is also never too early to take a look at your holiday music either, especially if you love holiday music.
As the seasons change, there is no reason to forget about your piano, so include it in your life in all the ways you can.
